Some of these gems are fresh off the dop and you will see them here first before they are added to the gemstone lists. Some of these will be so unusual, rare, and hot, we don't expect them to make it to our product pages. Beautiful purplish Garnet round, 1.34 cts, 6.4 mm. Not positive but most likely (rough dealer did not say) comes from the new find of rare purplish garnet from Mozambique, Africa.
Buena Vista Gem Works offers a few pieces of fine handcrafted jewelry. Most of my pieces will be created using my gemstones and cabochons. My main business focus is "cut gemstones" so I do not have a large supply of jewelry pieces. But over the years I have had some request from customers to purchase a jewelry piece from one of my cur or cabochons.
After years of self-collecting a different minerals around Colorado, I am just beginning to start the process of taking pictures and getting some of my mineral specimens listed on my website and on my ebay account. I will be listing some of the rare exclusive Columbine Blue Agate as well as Crystal Peak Amazonite, Leadville turquoise and pyrite, and whatever else I find in my garage.
