Steffy has a Pennsylvania State Certified Safety Committee, an approved Safety Program and was the previous recipient of the ABC Annual "Excellence in Construction Safety Award". A successful project starts with a detailed and thorough estimate. Our project estimators are all long time employees with a vast knowledge of steel construction.

The roots of Ira G. Steffy & Son, Inc. can be traced to a four man shop purchased by Ira G. Steffy and his son Dennis L. Steffy in 1976. Originally offering general repair and industrial welding, the company has expanded to provide structural steel and miscellaneous metals for projects of all sizes.

Aldi Distribution Center was constructed in 2006 and consisted of a 125,300 SF warehouse, located in Center Valley, PA. DHL Distribution Center involved 1,787 tons of structural steel and provided a base footprint of 290,000 SF with an additional 200,000 SF of mezzanine work space, and 12,000 SF of office space.
Safety

Safety is our number one priority in both our shop and in the field. Our field crew provides 100% tie off for any steel being erected over 6 feet. This has become our standard and something we take very seriously. A lot of other companies say they have high safety standards, but we practice what we preach!

Gary joined the Steffy organization in 1997 and is the firm's President in charge of all activities including sales, estimating and operations. He has been in the steel industry his entire professional career and started as an apprentice draftsman in 1980. He strives for complete customer satisfaction on each and every project.

Our experienced detailers provide the expertise needed to provide quality shop drawings while also identifying any design concerns in the early stages to avoid delays with the delivery of steel. We also offer expedited schedules for those fast tracked projects.
