The word Sukhothai in Pali language means 'Dawn of Happiness'. In 1238, King Intradit created a federation of neighboring kingdoms under one banner and founded the brilliant culture named after the city-state. Sukhothai, the ancient capital of this Thai Kingdom and now designated a world heritage site, occupies a special place in Thai heart as most Thais, people and their culture.

Thai sweet and sour green papaya salad mixed with carrot, tomatoes, dried shrimp, green bean, roasted peanuts in a Som Tam salad dressing.
