In Alabama there are two types of divorces, contested and uncontested. An uncontested or a non contested divorce is when you know where your spouse lives, your spouse agrees to all the terms and conditions contained in the agreement and your spouse is willing to sign all the divorce paperwork. The agreement sets out how the assets of the marriage are to be divided, both personal and real property.
