Internationally recognized for his work, our medical director and CEO, Nathan D. Zasler, M.D., is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, fellowship training in brain injury rehabilitation and sub-specialty certification in brain injury medicine. We bring extensive clinical experience in acquired brain injury rehabilitation to our clients.

Tree of Life Services is dedicated to providing state of the art, evidence based, compassionate post-acute brain injury neurorehabilitation assessment and care. We are a private, for profit, company that was started in 1997 by internationally respected neurophysiatrist, Nathan D. Zasler, MD. We know that the neurorehabilitation of persons with ABI is complex.
Who We Serve

Status post presumptive traumatic brain injury where the diagnosis of brain injury as the cause of the client's current symptoms/signs is in question and a more thorough work-up is deemed necessary to identify the appropriate diagnosis, treatment and/or prognosis including ability to return to gainful employment.
Our Staff

Dr. Zasler is our founder, CEO and Chief Medical Officer. He is board certified in PM&R, fellowship trained in brain injury rehabilitation and certified in brain injury medicine as well as pain management. He has over 30 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Zasler is an affiliate professor in the VCU Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Richmond, VA, and an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.He also currently serves as Vice-Chairperson of the International Brain Injury Association.

Our Administrative Program Director (APD) is responsible for Human Resources (HR) and provides service and support to our employees to build a better Tree of Life Services. TOLS provides benefits administration, classification and compensation, recruitment and retention, training and development, employee relations and records management services.
