If you call after the 2 week mark to claim you have not received your certificate you will be subject to a duplicate fee to have a new certificate sent out as it is a NYS document! In order to safely meet the demand for driver training while adhering to social distancing guidelines outlined by the New York State Department of Health and NY Forward, Stevens Driving School is now offering the NYS Pre-Licensing Course online via Zoom.

I can teach my son/daughter to drive by myself - what's the advantage of using Stevens Driving School? Stevens Driving School instructors are trained to teach our students not only the skills needed to pass their NYS road test, but to be a safe driver once they have their license. Long-time drivers often develop driving habits that won't serve your new driver well.

We accept referrals from: NYS DMV, Hospitals, Doctors, Family Members, Physical Therapists, Courts and Lawyers. If you are in the position of having to decide to stop driving - or to help someone you love decide - we can help. Our Driver Rehabilitation Specialist will evaluate any licensed driver and provide a professional written report on driving ability.

If we do not pick up in your area then students come in and meet at a designated area, please check our areas we service list. Upon completion of private lessons from Stevens Driving School, students can drive after 9pm @ 17 years of age from Work and School only until they are 18 years of age.

Please note that If you are looking to obtain a senior driving privilege also know as a Class D License at age 17, All private driving schools like us can not issue an MV-285, students would have to take a Drivers Education Course through a school district that offers it.Cancellation Policy: If you fail to provide 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee will be charged: $35 for a single lesson, $70 for a Double lesson or Road Test.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call your instructor or the office ASAP at 674-2340! If an appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment for a weekday appointment, there is a $35 Cancellation/No Show Fee and a $45 Cancellation Fee if the appointment is on the weekend. If it is a Double Lesson or a Road Test, then the No Show/Cancellation Fee is $70.
