Sheffield School of the Dance is based in Mobile, Alabama and is celebrating over 75 Years of Excellence! We are a 4 time Nappie Award winner for "Best Dance Studio" and "Best Dancer" in Mobile & Baldwin County. Founded in 1943 by Mary Lou Sheffield-Noletto, the studio has grown from a small one room facility to a state of the art studio with Three Locations through the Mobile/Baldwin Metro Area serving over 400 students.
We are thrilled to offer classes at our West Mobile studio, Dauphin/ Rickarby (Midtown) and on the Eastern Shore for our 2021-22 season. Today, the studio offers nearly 75 classes a week, and is recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in technique, choreography and explosive performances.

Celi Noletto Shinn
Report
Celi Shinn is a National Award Winning Choreographer and has been teaching since the age of 15. Growing up in the Sheffield School of the Dance family, she began her training at an early age and went on to work as a Professional Dancer and Faculty Member with the American Dance Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Kelly Raley-Reyes
Report
Kelly Raley-Reyes grew up dancing at Susan's Academy of Dance in Daphne, AL, and later at Sheffield School of the Dance in Mobile, AL. During her competitive career, Kelly won numerous awards and scholarships. She had the opportunity to take classes and summer intensives in Los Angeles at Millennium Dance Complex.

Sheffield offers a variety of classes for ages 3 to adult with three convenient studio locations. The basis and foundation of all dance forms. Strong emphasis on technique and classical style along with flexibility and core strength building in all classes. A commercial style of dance as seen in music videos and live award shows.
2021-22 Fees & Policies

Registration takes places annually in August at all of our studio locations. We register students face-to-face for a personalized experience, and to ensure proper class placement for growth and success. 2021-2022 registration dates are available here. As a convenience, we are going paperless for the health & safety of all students/families.

EXCITING NEWS! Mobile's Most Respected Dance Studio, 4 time Nappie Award winner, Sheffield School of the Dance is coming to St. Dominic Catholic School! We are very excited to be offering our dance curriculum exclusively to SDCS students. If your child attends after-school care they will be escorted to the Murphy Center at their designated class time.
