This classic inshore and offshore design was developed to run in the shallow backwaters for snook and red fish. While perfect for handling tarpon in Boca Grande Pass, and designed to run offshore for grouper, permit, and king fish. Our Thread Fin 24 ft custom boat is designed to handle the elements on the flats, in the bays, and out in the ocean.

Tarpon fishing charters start in the spring. When the water temperature approaches 80 it's game on. Some fish will start to be caught in April and earlier if it is mild. Typically it does not get into full swing till the middle or end of April. Sea Reed Charters likes to start scheduling our trips at the middle or end of Apri.

Red fish are quite obviously named for their body color which has a copper hue and generally one spot just before the tail. Fort myers fishing charters most successful month for red fish is October.
