Founded in 2002, Synergy Builders is a design/build home remodeling company located in West Chicago, Illinois. We work with Chicagoland homeowners to renovate their spaces through a comprehensive portfolio of design and remodeling services. Synergy has specialized in kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeling, as well as whole house design and room additions for more than 15 years.
Our goal is to provide stress-free remodeling services to every one of our clients. Our founders, John Habermeier and Steve Taylor, grew up working in the trades. John is an eighth-generation carpenter. After his mother died when he was eight years old, his father or fellow carpenters would pick him up from school and bring him to worksites.

Synergy recently finished a renovation of my mid-50s split level home. There was not an area of the house that work wasn't done. I could not be happier. They came in on time and on budget. Their entire staff was a pleasure to work with, as were their sub-contractors. Their design staff and on-site workers were communicative and listened to what I wanted, and then came up with ideas and solutions to issues all through the project.
