The original Harry H. Witzke Funeral Home was founded in 1912 in Baltimore. One location was at Hollins and Gilmor Streets, and another was at 4101 Edmondson Avenue. Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home moved to Howard County in 1965 to its present location to serve all areas. The funeral home is owned and managed by Sherri Collins-Witzke, CFSP, CPC, CCSP, and her daughter, Samantha Logan, CCSP.
We are family owned and are not affiliated with any other funeral home. Our facilities are handicapped accessible, all on one level, and ample parking is available. Our directors and staff are here to assist you in a caring, compassionate manner, to help you through your greatest time of need. We are conveniently located in Ellicott City near several major routes and BWl Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Our fee for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notices; staff assistance prior to, during and following the funeral, including coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g.

Our staff is comprised of dedicated and licensed professionals with the experience to answer all your questions regarding our services. Please feel free to contact any of our staff members at any time. Sherri Collins-Witzke resides in Howard County with her husband, Gus. Sherri moved to the area in 1969.

Our facilities are handicapped accessible, all on one level, and include a reception room, a coffee room, three visitation rooms, a sitting room, a flower receiving room, and a casket selection room. We can accommodate traditional funeral or memorial services for up to 120 people. Whether your choice is a private family viewing or a public visitation we will assist you in making it a personal, comforting experience.

When you make prearrangements, before a death has occurred, it allows you to think more clearly, and you are not rushed to make any final decisions. It will assist your family in knowing what your wishes are and how you prefer your final arrangements to take shape.
