I recently needed to get service for a recall on three Honda generators. We called some of the bigger shops near us and besides being unfriendly they refused to even give us a guess at how long the service might take or if they had the parts. When we called Great Outboard and spoke to Joel, not only was he friendly and professional, he told us he had the parts and he could could get the recall repair done on all three within a couple of hours. Even though it was a long drive, we took the generators over and dropped them off. A few hours later we went back, they were all set, with the repairs fully

Joel does a fantastic job on all things motors. He is the owner of this business and is very thorough as well as knowledgeable. Joel normally works on big boats and motors but took the time to repair my 2002 Honda 4 stroke that was not running at the time. He got it to not only run but run beautifully and more importantly dependably time and time again. When I upgrade to a bigger boat Joel will be the mechanic that will inspect the boat. Joel you are amazing and my wife and I highly recommend your business.

Joel was terrific!! Anyone who buys, or wants repairs for Honda products needs to go to Great Outboard. ..Been in So. FL. for 20 yrs. After research concluded honda generator most reliable. bought my 1st honda generator from somewhere else. 6 months later & never opened generator box, got a recall from honda..other dealer hung up on me when i wanted to repair/replace defect..
Joel ordered part, called me and replaced defect...Terrific! Honest, reliable, competent, person running a business where the customer will always be satisfied..

Was shopping for a generator for hurricane season, was not quite sure where to start as far as watts amps etc. Joel was great helped me through he entire process. I got a reasonable price on the generator and he did not try to up sell me. Which of course is huge plus!

Brought my Honda Generator in to Great outboard. What a fantastic experience! This is what the service industry should be. Joel was very accommodating for dropping off and picking up my generator. One of the best service experiences we have had in a very long time. We have a Honda 225 outboard, and until recently there was one inconvenient authorized parts/dealer in eastern Broward County.
Fortunately, I discovered Great Outboards had moved to Pompano Beach.
The owner Joel and staff are stand-up guys, they carefully explained everything to me, the good, the bad, the things that we could run into and the possible costs associated.
The communication was great, charges were very fair, service fast, and the boat was ready when they promised. Never had a 4 for 4 in the marine industry

I looked long and hard for a replacement motor for my boat... Living on the West Coast, nothing was within reach. Motors are like the Holly Grail and cost more than a new boat. So I found one via the internet from Great Outboard. The price was right, the motor was what I wanted and needed but, there were 2000+ miles in between... I took a chance and actually sent a check into the blind (and a hefty one too). I was a bit worried and tracked it all the way... These guys are true professionals. My Yamaha 115 2 stroke kept over heating even after replacing the thermostat and water pump. They found the real issue and fixed it (clogged heads). Their costs beat anyone I called to find and repair the problem. ..also learned he is the lead instructor for a local marine repair school...can't beat that...trust them even more now.
