San Joaquin Glass was founded by Harvey McKenry, Jack Kilner & Joe Strosnyder in 1947. Originally located at 618 N Street in Downtown Fresno, they relocated to the current location in 1965 to make way for the Fresno Convention Center. In 1976, Robert Starr and Steve Salcedo became the new owners of San Joaquin Glass.
The company began their family operated roots once Steve's wife, Wanda and children Anna, Mary & Anthony began working at the office or in the warehouse during summer vacation. Bob retired in 2004 and Anthony started working full time after graduating from Fresno State in 2005. Anna Salcedo Hook began working part time shortly after handling payroll and human resources.
