Authentic Relational Counseling, PLLC is an independently owned counseling practice providing in-person and virtual psychotherapy services to teens, adults, and families in the Greater Houston Area and Texas. The mission of the practice is to facilitate a safe and secure space where one may be authentic and transparent in the counseling relationship with no fear of judgment.
Through the therapeutic relationship and treatment provided, counseling can result in symptom relief, improved quality of life, better functioning, as well as discovery of one's strengths and greater purpose. Laura Braziel is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator. She also has private-practice specific training in DBT. Laura has been providing counseling services to the Houston area since 2008. She specializes in adolescents and adults, trauma and anxiety, and parenting struggles with teens.

It is important that you feel comfortable and confident that your counselor may be a good fit for your needs. Laura is happy to speak with you by phone at no charge to briefly listen to your concerns, answer your questions and determine if she is the right counselor for you. Laura does NOT contract with insurance plans.

Teletherapy is the use of technology-assisted media to deliver counseling services and treatment when in-person sessions may not be possible. Various devices may be used to connect including but not limited to laptops, smartphones, tablets, ipads, and desktops. Yes! Laura uses a HIPAA compliant video platform through SimplePractice.
