Dunlap-Swain always has and always will strive to be your one stop for all your automotive needs. Two Texas Friends Jack Swain and Devereux Dunlap came out of WW1 in 1918/19 and opened up the very first Dunlap-Swain in July of 1919 at the corner of Young and Akard.

You will need to have this fixed before your vehicle can be inspected. We can check this out for you and repair the problem. After the vehicle has been repaired it will need to be driven on the average approximately 50 miles to run the vehicles emission monitors. Some vehicles will run them in as little as 10 miles.

This company was founded by 2 men that fought together in World-War1. While fighting in the war they became close good friends. At the end of the war with their combined bonuses of $60 they started Dunlap-Swain Tire Company in July of 1919. As we celebrate 101 years of business we also celebrate your service in keeping America Free and Safe for us all.

When you come to the shop for the 1st time it can be a bit confusing. This shop was built in the early 1940s. Orignally the shop/repair area was outside and not a enclosed shop. So now the office is located inside of the shop area. The Main Entrance is accessible by going through the 3rd Large Bay (Marked above this door is: Service/Cashier) Door from the right side looking at the shop.
