As husband and wife, we began moving forward into the dream of Awaken Wellness after a fire had all but destroyed Jennifer's thriving acupuncture practice. After the ashes and embers of the fire had settled, Jennifer resumed her practice from home for several months while moving forward with Brian creating the vision of Columbia's first wellness center.

As a service to you we are happy to verify your insurance benefits*. Our center is a full service wellness center, and as a courtesy we offer insurance billing to all patients who have acupuncture benefits. We are happy to find out what benefits are covered by your plan, if you need a referral from your primary care physician or if pre authorization is required before your visit.
Chinese Herbal Medicine

Awaken Wellness provides Chinese herbal medicine consultations with our licensed acupuncturists who are also Chinese herbalists. We can provide Chinese herbal medicine in many forms and customize the herbal formula to your specific needs. For our patients safety we only prescribe Chinese herbal medicine to those who have been evaluated and diagnosed by one of our practitioners.

Our therapists have training in a range of modalities and are compassionate to a client's goals. We are dedicated to your well being. Massage has been utilized as a form of therapy and healing for thousands of years. Though widely used and accepted in other cultures for centuries and sometimes millennia, massage has only fairly recently grown in popularity in the US.

At Awaken Wellness, we understand the importance of thorough communication between a client and therapist. In order for a session to be most effective, a client's individual needs must be addressed. For this reason, a buffer time is worked into every appointment so a client never feels rushed off the table and always receives the full time amount of massage that has been scheduled.
Massage Therapy Pricing and Forms

Tipping your therapist is customary and ranges from 15-20% of the fee for the therapeutic massage. If possible please leave your tips in cash. Tip envelopes are provided at the front desk.
