Meaningful Beginnings began in the downstairs of Ashley's home. A few years later, she outgrew her space and moved her mom-and-pop daycare to a commercial space in the Sunset district of San Fransisco. Today, Meaningful Beginnings continues to grow throughout San Fransisco and the Bay Area with the goal of expanding nationwide.

For Leesa Amodo, what began as a career in the medical industry soon transformed into a distinct passion for working with children. Now thirteen years later, she serves as Director for Meaningful Beginnings, working tirelessly to maintain the highest standards of care while also fostering a kind and friendly atmosphere that celebrates diversity and innovation.

We follow a multimodal program that incorporates Play-Based, Thematic Curriculum, and Reggio Emilia philosophies. Our curriculum consists of daily circle time, storytime, music time, arts and crafts, language lessons, sensory and outdoor play. Little adventurers-Introduction to new tastes, dramatic play, dance/music time, arts/crafts, and extensive language development.

Our daycare curriculum goal is to recognize and build up each child's developmental level as they use play to investigate and acquire the skills and knowledge, they need to be competent and capable in the world. They will slowly get introduced to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes in their everyday surroundings.

A flexible infant curriculum is essential for getting your child to learn how to socialize and interact with their teachers and their peers. Infants are encouraged to be curious and explore the many toys within the infant classroom. This will encourage them to build interests and create social play at their own pace.
