Experience Luxury Weddings & Craft Beverages at Mount Ida Reserve
Mount Ida Reserve began as a cattle farm that evolved into a premier destination in southern Albemarle. We pioneered full-scale wedding venues at Mount Ida Manor and expanded to include Turkey Run neighborhood, three additional wedding venues, and our Tasting Room + Taphouse established in 2018. Our 3,000-acre reserve combines operational farming with hospitality, offering unique experiences through small-batch wines, craft beers, and seasonal cuisine paired with Blue Ridge Mountain views. We specialize in private events, luxury accommodations, and immersive wine country experiences while maintaining agricultural roots. Our team curates weddings, corporate events, and weekend getaways with comprehensive packages and personalized service.

With fiber optic internet, recreational amenities, and proximity to Monticello Wine Trail attractions, we blend modern comforts with rural charm. Our culinary team creates customizable menus for events, featuring local ingredients and award-winning beverages. As stewards of 5,000 acres, we preserve Virginia's natural beauty while providing exceptional hospitality. Our dedicated event coordinators ensure seamless execution of celebrations, from intimate gatherings to milestone events. Through continuous expansion and attention to detail, we remain a leader in destination experiences within Charlottesville's wine country.

Mount Ida is my new favorite cville winery! They have amazing sangria and mimosas that are so refreshing. Their fros is a popsicle in their ros which is so fun even though I'm not a ros person. Both times I've been, I split a bottle of their viognier with friends and loved it. They also have food available and don't allow outside food but I haven't been able to give it a try yet. The views are scenic and gorgeous and they have plenty of indoor seating and seating in the shade. The service is attentive. The prices are a little high but nothing anomalous for cville wineries and totally worth

View is great. Good looking building. I ordered food today (Sunday) and was a disaster. The food men is minimal. I ordered a cheese plate and they brought cheese in box straight from the grocery store. Not even the effort to put on a tray. the wine serving was very stingy. I was charged $140 for the cheese box and a few glasses of wine with friends. I had to ask the detailed receipt to discover that the waiter overcharged me with food I never received. Service was abismal. I brought some friends from outside town and I was embarrassed. Too bad because back in the day the food and service was

Wow! I've been here twice, once with my kids (toddler and preschooler) and once for a baby shower I was hosting. Both times were absolute wins with great service, flexible servers for our odd needs, extremely beautiful setting and building, and delicious food. Stop everything and go to Mount Ida! It does not disappoint.

Nice view. Delicious wine - 2017 Tannant - $12.75 per serving - but served in a plastic cup!! Really??? What in the world are they thinking??? So . I decided to walk inside & ask for a wineglass - at first I was told that it was to protect the people washing dishes due to COVID but the server changed his mind & poured the wine into a glass for me. On my way inside I saw a couple seated outside under cover with a bottle of wine with two wine glasses - so why was that? If one purchases a bottle then you can drink it out of a REAL WINE GLASS but if you only order a glass of wine you get to drink

The views are panoramic and stupendous. It's a beautiful facility it is well laid out that leaves plenty of opportunity for social distancing as well as partying. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. This place makes for a great day trip. I'd highly recommend it.

Lovely scenery and the white/rose wine we tried was great. Only downside was that it was a really hot day and the parasol didnt provide enough shade, so we asked if we could sit on the patio instead. We were told no without a reason given - there were a couple of spare tables which didnt appear reserved, as we were there for a couple of hours and no one else sat there. So, nice wine and setting, albeit very hot
