Services
Report
We recommend children visit a dentist no later than their first birthday. We also endorse the Age One dental visit so we can establish a "Dental Home" for your child. We offer prevention & treatment of diseases of teeth and gums in order to restore to their best health. This includes the repair/replacement of damaged or defective teeth.
Office Policies
Report
Your appointment is reserved specifically for your child. Changes may affect many other patients. If a change or cancellation is unavoidable and conflicts arise, please call us at the office at least 48 business hours (2 days) in advance so that we may offer that time to another patient who is in need of care.
Dental Hygiene
Report
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and American Dental Association (ADA) recommend children visit a dentist no later than their first birthday. Rye Pediatric Dentistry also endorses the Age One dental visit so that we may establish a "Dental Home" for your child, much like the "Medical Home" model.
Preventive
Report
Sealants protect the grooved and pitted surfaces of the chewing surfaces on back (and sometimes front) teeth where most cavities in children are found. About 80% of all children's cavities occur in grooves and pits. Sealants are applied to teeth to help prevent cavities. The application is quick, comfortable, and only takes one visit.
