Dr. Kaplow, a NYS licensed Optometrist, received her Doctorate of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry in New York City and has practiced for over 30 years. She is a member of the following professional organizations: American Optometric Association, Rochester Optometric Society, College of Optometrists in Vision Development and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.
Vision Exams

20/20 just means that the person can clearly see a certain letter on the standard eye chart (equivalent to what a person with normal vision should be able to see at 20 feet). There's so much more to healthy vision than 20/20! Comprehensive Eye Exams are vital to maintaining your vision and overall ocular health.
Vision Therapy

Some visual conditions cannot be treated adequately with just glasses, contact lenses and/or patching, and are best resolved through a program of Vision Therapy. Our evaluations determine the patient's visual and motor skill level. Vision Therapy is then programmed to meet specific needs for development of proper visual, perceptual and motor abilities.

I am 71 years old and have had a lazy eye all my life. I have repeatedly asked opticians in my many visits I have made them if they have found a cure for Amblyopia and they've always said no. About a month ago, at a routine eye exam, I was told about Dr. Kaplow so decided to make an appointment. I was given a test where I was shown a 3D fly picture and asked to pick it up by it's wings.
