Hovey Winery

In the Fall of 2015, as Chuck was recovering from a stroke, a group of friends got together to figure out how we could help Chuck and the winery. We pooled our talents and have jointly purchased an interest in Hovey Winery. We take an active role in business operations, production and marketing.

Everyone is different; we all have different tastes, budgets, and preferences. So we've designed our wine clubs to give you as much flexibility as possible. With our user-choice options, you can fully customize your quarterly shipments and get exactly what you want, all the time.

Plus, Hovey Wine Club members receive 25% off all wine purchases and 10% off all merchandise purchases, and qualify for complimentary wine tastings at our lovely Tasting Room.Minimum commitment to join Hovey Wine Club is 4 shipments/pickups. If a member cancels before they have received 4 shipments, they will be charged for all discounts given up to the point.

The Hovey Winery Tasting Room is located in the beautiful, historic setting of the 1850 Albert Michelson house in downtown Murphys, in the heart of California's Gold Country in Calaveras County. Murphys was voted one of the top 10 "coolest" towns to live in, with more than 20 tasting rooms, unique boutiques, historic and contemporary lodging, community park set along the Angels Creek, and a bevy of delightful eateries all within walking distance.

A perfect way to showcase filet mignon with classic Caprese flavors and the subtle complexity of our 2017 C2 Red Blend. The rich and creamy sauce in this simple chicken dish is a wonderful compliment to the very crisp, clean nature of our 2018 Chardonnay. The sweet and spicy glaze is the star of this dish, and pairs perfectly with the bright acidity of our 2019 Rosato.

We will replace or refund you for any bottle of wine that is damaged, or flawed. We ask you to return the unfinished portion of the original bottle for replacement if possible. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked, or flawed. We are also unable to accept the return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error.
