Oak Crest Preschool was founded in 1997 by Owner and Director Denay McLaughlin who hand selected the property to accommodate both a tranquil, spacious outdoor playground as well as one that was conducive to the type of exemplary curriculum she wanted to offer children in the area.
While earning her degree in Elementary Education she came to realize the need for a program that allows children to obtain the skills they need to have upon entering into kindergarten.Oak Crest Preschool has since been working hand in hand with area elementary schools to ensure that it is continuing to meet the standards for kindergarten readiness.

We are a gold seal accredited school providing multiple A+ programs through developmentally appropriate practices and hands on experiences. Playing with toddlers is delightful. The very beset way to develop a young child's brain connection is to give children what they need, which is an environment that is interesting to explore, that is safe, and that is filled with people who will respond to their emotional and intellectual needs.
Brain research supports what we already know: young children need loving, supportive people in their lives who will sing to them, hug them, talk to them, read to them, not flash cards in their faces.All of the activities and games in the toddler class develop the brain capacity of these toddlers. They are the building blocks for future learning - a good solid beginning for little ones and enjoyable at the same time.
