Jason Lee Stallbaumer, 46, of St. Benedict, Kansas passed away peacefully at his home in St. Benedict, surrounded by his family. Lauer Funeral Home is family-owned and operated, serving all faiths in northeast Kansas since 1901. Our mission and dedication is to create a service that is both individual and meaningful for the families we serve.

In 1901, Philip J. Lauer, 21 years of age, completed embalming school in Kansas City, MO and returned to Seneca, KS, to start his own business. He began his combination livery and undertaking services with four black horses, a horse-drawn hearse, and a storefront on the east end of Seneca's Main Street.

Since we only operate locally within about 45 miles of Seneca, Kansas we are able to provide more customized service and utilize locally made cement for pouring foundations.

The nearest major airport is Kansas City International (airport code MCI) in Kansas City, Missouri. Once you arrive in Seneca on Highway 36, turn south onto 4th Street; continue a few blocks past Main Street to Lauer Funeral Home.
