She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of St. Thomas, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, Texas' preeminent optometry program.

It is always recommended that patients are seen for an annual comprehensive eye exam. It is important to have your eyes evaluated annually, because your eyes can be the first key to detecting other systemic problems. We are able to offer visual field testing which can help to diagnose glaucoma, strokes, tumors, or optic nerve or macula irregularities.
Technology

The retinal camera documents the inside of the eye in order to detect and manage many pathologies, including Diabetes, Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma. This test allows the doctor to follow any changes from year to year. At Vision First, we use the Humphrey Field Analyzer for visual field testing.
