Rise & Shine Daycare & Preschool

Rise and Shine is a preschool and daycare center located in Fairfax, VA. It is a family owned business. Our goal is to enrich the lives of our youngest citizens. We believe in a loving, patient environment where kids can develop their social skills and intellect by playing and having fun. We strive to provide parents with the peace of mind they need by having an open door policy, lots of love, activities and smiles for their little treasures.

Babies have a strong need to feel secure with their surroundings, it is at this time that we work in developing trust so that he or she will feel safe and secure in the world. Establishing a routine is very important in making them feel comfortable with their surroundings. At Rise and Shine Daycare, babies are catered for in a room which is warmly decorated.

This program is set up for 3 to 4 year olds (preschool age) as their social skills are improved and they begin to play more actively with other kids. They learn how to share and get along with others- these are important skills to master as they continue their journey into becoming "big kids". Once the child has shown signs of readiness, we will help with toilet training to accomplish a greater sense of self control.

This program is set up to get the prekindergarten-aged children ready for school through an emphasis on academics. They are now able to take on more responsibilities and be more independent. During this stage we encourage the children to experiment, explore and pursue their own interests.

Teachers will provide the children opportunities to make their own choices, to promote problem solving and will establish activities that allow creative expression.New subjects include: Literacy: the use of language and words (writing their name, recognizing written letters) Math: numbers, recognizing patterns and relationships) and many more.

We are open for enrollments! We are happy to announce that we are open for enrollments! Enrollment is based on a "first come, first served" basis. Please note that filling out a pre-enrollment form does not guarantee enrollment. To fully enroll, a full enrollment application needs to be submitted and a deposit of $250 is required.
