Hickory Hills is a member owned and operated private golf club. It was formed when 14 men, united by their love of golf, set out to build their own golf course from scratch. These 14 men were able to locate a prime piece of land, sell memberships to raise capital, and build the course and clubhouse.
One of these 14 men was Jack Kidwell, a renowned golf course architect. When Jack Kidwell saw the property, he stated, "This course will be 125 years mature when we get done." The property has beautiful mature trees and was only cleared to put in greens, fairways, and tees. Wildlife preserves were included so that the existing wildlife would stay and enhance the golf experience.
