Children receive a delicious and balanced breakfast; safe transportation to & from school; then a nutritional hot meal is waiting for them after school!

Parents can drop off and pick up their children at NEYC, and we will get them to and from school. Our Vehicle Fleet is inspected daily and equipped with certified booster seats. Every child deserves engaging activities, adults who care about them, and a community where they belong.

The Northeast Youth Center opened in 1971, thanks to the vision of our very own Hal McGlathery and the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department. Hal saw a need in the area and used a grant opportunity to help create the center. Shortly after, Hal brought funding to the West Central and East Central communities.

Good nutrition is essential for effective learning every day, all year long. Children who aren't hungry learn, act, and feel better. Our feeding programs help children get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow throughout the year. In February of 2013 the Northeast Youth Center began participating in the CACFP which provides a nutritious evening meal to children as a regular part of their day during care.
