The renovation of this 1894 Evanston residence for a family with three young children, adhered to the Client's environmental criteria and the house's historical context. The project was carefully planned to enable the 2-level house to be a comfortable home, both spatially and thermally, without needing to expand outside its envelope.

There were numerous configurations deliberated to replace the dilapidated porch. The built project focuses on creating a variety of spaces for adults and children. It provides visibility out to the garden using a cable railing system and maintaining privacy from adjoining neighbors. Ipe wood was chosen for its beauty and durability.
The Growling Rabbit, Chicago

Relocating to its new location, which doubled the dining and kitchen areas, The Growling Rabbit offers a "farm to table" menu with a full-service bar and coffee bar. Vibrant apple green is offset by muted gray tones, encompassing a three-sided bar, lounge area, cafe seating area, and separate coffee station, pub kitchen and bakery kitchen.

20,000 square feet of light industrial factory space was meticulously cleaned for its transformation into "Cooked" an Evanston start-up where fresh, delicious, and nutritious chef-prepared meals are made, boxed, and shipped out to customers around Chicago. The space now has a professional kitchen, entertainment space and offices, with plentiful room for growth.
