Boulder City residents can drop off specific items considered as household hazardous waste. Boulder City residents may bring in household fluorescent light bulbs for recycling free of charge. The average American generates 4.4 pounds of trash per day, adding to the grand total of about 254 million tons of trash the United States accumulates per year.

Doing your part to increase recycling, while diverting thousands of tons of waste from being buried in our landfill, has never been so easy. The industry term for no-sort recycling is "single-stream". Put in its' simplest terms, what used to be multiple "streams" of recyclables needed to be separated by the homeowner in advance of pick-up.

All homeowners can participate in the citywide B.C. Waste Free curbside recycling program. Each home will be provided with a 65-gallon, wheeled recycling bin (upon request, 32-gallon bins will be made available to those for whom the 65-gallon bin is too large).
