After graduating from law school John moved back to his hometown of Long Island and worked for several years for two prominent law firms practicing bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, loan modifications, civil litigation, family law, real estate and criminal law. After gaining the valuable experience needed, in 2009 John Brooke started his own law firm dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of his clients on Long Island.

Chapter 7 bankruptcy is often referred to as a "straight bankruptcy." In most cases people do not have any non-exempt assets to lose because most assets are protected by either New York or Federal exemption laws. I will use my expertise to help us do the bankruptcy planning. One of the primary purposes of a chapter 7 is to give individuals a financial "fresh start".
