Some say Associa began when John Carona arranged for his first lawn-mowing job at age 12, a job that quickly grew to serving 20 homeowners a week. That planted the seed for a growing interest in property management. Others say it began just 40 years ago when Carona signed his first client, in Dallas, Texas.
