After 22 years of conducting over 10,000 home inspections, I have seen hundreds of real estate transactions fall apart. They fall apart for a variety of reasons but one of the more common reasons is what some refer to as the "Deal Killing" inspection. Home inspectors such as myself do not approach an inspection in hopes to kill the deal.
The inspection is a reasonable effort to disclose the conditions existing on the day of the inspection. A look at your home with an experienced eye. The inspection does not reveal information on the concealed areas or items not inspected. Home inspectors are generalists with broad knowledge on many topics.
