Water Features
We create natural ponds with streams or low-maintenance pondless waterfalls that enhance property aesthetics. Our designs incorporate sustainable water management systems while creating tranquil outdoor environments. Each installation considers existing terrain and client preferences for customized results.
Retaining Walls
Our retaining wall solutions reshape sloped properties to create functional spaces for patios, play areas, and outdoor kitchens. We use durable materials that prevent erosion while enhancing landscape aesthetics through strategic design integration.
Patios
Custom patio designs transform backyards into relaxing retreats. We incorporate seating areas, dining spaces, and entertainment features using weather-resistant materials that withstand Minnesota's climate while maintaining visual appeal.
Landscape Lighting
Our lighting designs enhance safety and ambiance through pathway illumination, planter bed highlighting, and architectural accenting. Systems are designed for energy efficiency while creating welcoming environments for evening gatherings.
Plantings
We select climate-appropriate plantings that thrive in Minnesota's extreme seasons. Our designs ensure year-round visual interest through strategic plant selection and placement that considers sunlight exposure and soil conditions.

Would highly recommend Visionary Landscape Design - we found Steve and his team to be hardworking, courteous, and trustworthy. They completed a fantastic patio installation at our home in Maple Grove within the timeframe communicated and we are very pleased. Hope to be able to do future projects and work with them again!

Absolute wonderful job. Steve is very easy to work with, I was amazed by how he could take the vision I had of my backyard and bring it to life. They have such a strong attention to detail and are complete perfectionists. We had them build our patio and retaining walls along with some landscape lighting, and we will certainly choose them in the future to design a pond-less waterfall next year. I would highly recommend
