We strongly encourage everyone to get a routine comprehensive eye exam once per year. Eyes are unfortunately a place where permanent damage may be happening without symptoms occurring until a disease has progressed to a late stage and little or nothing can be done. Many eye diseases, such as glaucoma, normally give no symptoms or sensations until much permanent damage has occurred.

Whether you want the freedom to be more active, or want unrestricted peripheral vision, contact lenses are an excellent alternative to glasses. With the variety of lenses available now, it is increasingly difficult for us to find people who cannot wear lenses if they are motivated to do so.
Over 80% of the contacts worn in the U.S. are disposable soft lenses: they stay very clean and as such cause fewer eye health complications; they come in packs of at least six, so are easily replaced if lost or damaged; and, they are relatively inexpensive.Some daily disposable contact lenses even contain wetting agents that are released into the tears to make wearing them more comfortable.

Eyeglasses, also called spectacles, are custom-made specifically for the person who is prescribed them. Though spectacles are extremely common, there is a lot of time and expertise that goes into fabricating them behind the scenes. The measurements of today's frames and the placement of the lenses in them are made down to the half millimeter, and their optics are very sophisticated, making them comfortable to wear, and crisp to look through.
