What dance styles do you teach?
We offer comprehensive instruction in International Latin (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive), International Standard (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep), American Rhythm (Cha Cha, Bolero, Rumba, Mambo, Swing), and American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot).
Do I need a partner for dance lessons?
No partner is required for group classes. Private lessons can accommodate single students or couples. Our instructors partner with students during lessons to ensure proper technique development regardless of personal partnership status.
What should I wear to my first dance lesson?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. For footwear, choose shoes with smooth soles that stay securely on your feet. Dance shoes are available for purchase at our on-site Atelier if you decide to continue lessons.
Can adults learn to dance even if they have no experience?
Absolutely! Our adult group classes start from fundamental techniques and cater to complete beginners. Instructors modify instruction to accommodate various learning paces while creating a social, non-intimidating environment for new dancers.
Do you offer competitive dance training?
Yes, we provide competitive training programs for students pursuing professional or amateur competitions. Our instructors have trained national and world championship winners across Latin, Standard, and American dance styles with personalized coaching available.

Our 2,500 sq ft studio features San Francisco's largest dance floor with natural light, mirrored walls, and professional lighting/sound systems. Available for events from 6 AM to 2 AM with hourly rates starting at $250 and discounts for extended bookings.

I have always loved moving to music but unfortunately, I took a long break from dance (primarily hip hop and cheerleading) ever since graduating from high school. When I got engaged, my fiance and I decided to take wedding dance lessons at Genesis and we absolutely loved (and still love) our instructor, Matteo. Matteo danced and competed starting at a young age so he really knew how to build a foundation with us before teaching us our routine. I feel very misled by this company and their offers online / through Groupon. We purchased a groupon for Group Dancing lessons and when we arrived for our first class we found out that 1) the groupon was per person not per couple 2) that there were other dances beside the classic waltz / wedding dances being taught. The woman we interacted with was incredibly rude and claimed that all this info was on the website and the groupon. Supposedly, their website said what dances were being taught in which month etc etc. None of that was available when I looked. I went through all the information available

This is the best dance school in the Bay Area . I have started the lessons just for fun but to my surprised the dance instructors were so professionally good. They make dancing a joy and fulfilling with compassion, and make dancing not only with the feet but with the heart . Absolutely the best!
