The Bluffs, also known as Heritage Bluffs Public Golf Club, has been one of Chicagoland's highest rated golf courses since it opened in 1993. It offers both a challenge and composure across its rolling acres that offer scenic beauty unlike most Chicago-area courses. Everyone can find a length to suit their game from our four tee boxes that stretch the course from 5000 to over 7100 yards.
Located right off of Interstates 55, just south of Joliet, The Bluffs is the pride of the Channahon Park District. The tranquil surroundings make a day playing golf fun and relaxing. The Bluffs is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and has received a 4-Star rating from Golf Digest magazine.

Course Layout and Policy

Don't worry about the weather! If rain, lightning, or a severe weather warning (not a watch) forces you off the course before completion of your round, The Bluffs will give you a pro-rated voucher for the holes not played! Tee Times are booked in 10 minute intervals and are to be kept up on the course throughout the round.
Getting Youth Into Golf

Become an official SNAGster with our youth golf program. Learn how to use your launcher to crush your Snag Ball off the launch pad and then master your roller to get that ball on the Flag Sticky. SNAG is a fun and interesting way for starters to learn golf. Falling somewhere between miniature golf and regulation golf, SNAG allows for full shots, pitching, chipping, and putting.

Mark has been an active member in the golf community since 1986 when he first started caddying at the age of 14! He has worked his way through several positions and found himself at the Bluffs starting in 2005! At The Bluffs he discovered his passion for teaching and progressing the game of golf through private and group lessons.

From 16 people, to upward of 120, we will work with you to provide the top notch experience that has come to be expected from The Bluffs. From intimate weddings to baby showers, reunions, birthday parties and everything in between, the Bluffs is the place to be.

The course has been affectionately called "The Bluffs" by regulars for years, and this year we decided to adopt the nickname into our identity. Heritage Bluffs Public Golf Club will remain the name on the building, but looking into the future, you can expect to see the name and new logo used at and around the course!
