Our teachers are not only qualified, but loving. Each teacher has an education degree, trained in CPR and First Aid. They believe that the children at MUM Preschool need to be loved and nurtured. Children are welcomed with open arms each morning as they get a warm hug from their teacher. We are located on Center Road in Monroeville with easy access to all major highways, including the parkway and turnpike.
Teachers are located at the front doors each morning, which allows parents to safely and conveniently drop of and pick up their children without leaving their vehicles.

Report
Our 2 year old program is designed for the children to explore and discover through play and a variety of group activities. The children will develop their social and emotional skills through group-play (sharing, turn taking, problem solving) and movement activities (following directions). The children will also be introduced to monthly themes through simple art activities, music (songs and finger plays), and literacy (story-time).

The school consists of three classrooms. Children are assigned to a classroom where they receive specific instruction based on their age. Children do have the opportunity to move around to the other classrooms to explore different areas during free time at the beginning of each school day. Below each picture is a description of what the children do in the rooms during free time, in addition to what age group uses the room for group instruction.

The MUM Pre-School meets from Sept. through May in the lower level of Monroeville United Methodist Church, 219 Center Road. Morning sessions are from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., and afternoon sessions are from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. Children are requested to arrive no earlier than 9:00 & 12:30 and not to come into the classrooms until a teacher opens the door for them.

Eckerds Drug is on your right, make a right. Monroeville United Methodist Church is just behind the Jonnet Shopping Plaza on the left (2nd driveway).

MUM Preschool and the Monroeville United Methodist Church follows and is in compliance with Safe Sanctuaries, a United Methodist Church Child Abuse Prevention Policy. As part of the Safe Sanctuary Program at MUM Preschool, all adult volunteers involved with children's programs, must submit to a criminal background check.
