We are a fourth generation family owned and operated full service funeral home dedicated to serving the families of Watertown, Oakville and the surrounding communities with care and compassion. Hickcox Funeral Home was founded by Howard M. Hickcox in 1884 and ownership has passed from father to eldest son for four generations.

Hickcox Funeral Home was founded in 1884 by Howard M. Hickcox. Mr. Hickcox and his wife Amelia (Atwood) Hickcox and their family lived in the home next to Hickcox Funeral Home's present location, on the corner of Cutler and Main St in Watertown. The 2 car garage between the two buildings was originally a barn that housed the horse drawn hearse and supplies necessary for the business.

Staff members of Hickcox Funeral Home Inc. are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Born in 1950, Paul grew up in Watertown and graduated from American Academy McAllister Institute of Mortuary Science in 1970 and purchased the funeral home from his father in 1974.

How are cremation services different from regular burial services? They're not. Services with cremation are the same as with earth burial, unless you prefer something different.
