Meet Dr. Byron Okubo, a board-certified orthodontist who has had a passion for providing expert orthodontic care for decades. As a 15-year-old, Byron had a job making retainers and orthodontic appliances and started Okubo Orthodontic Appliances Lab when he was 18. Byron was born and raised in Utah and is now giving back to the community by working every day to be the best orthodontist in Utah or Nevada.

Phase II treatment (Braces for teens or adults), if required, begins when all the permanent teeth are present. Braces for kids are very different by necessity. The purpose of Phase II Treatment is to position all the permanent teeth to maximize their function and appearance. This is done by bonding brackets (braces) to the teeth and then making small bends in NiTi wire making the required adjustments necessary to properly align your teeth.
