At Christian Day Child Academy (CDCA), our mission is to glorify God by nurturing the spiritual growth and academic development of children with Biblical truth in a Christ-centered environment. Christian Day Child Academy was founded by JaNette & Lloyd Flogstad in 1971. In 1999 CDCA became a ministry of Minnesota Valley Free Lutheran Church and continues to uphold the school's founding principles.
The goal of the school is to enrich children's early learning experiences with Biblical truth which provides a strong foundation for all future education. Our staff at CDCA are all skilled teachers with a strong love for and background in working with children. Our teachers include Cheryl Ladendorf, DeVon Sadowski, Tanya Grawe, Kathy Osthus, Jennifer Koles, Marretta Osthus, and Rebekah Olson.

Christian Day Child Academy (CDCA) is an educational preschool where children can learn, discover and create in a Christ-centered environment. We believe that God is the source of wisdom, and His truth (the Bible) should be the foundation of learning. Our approach to learning is a balance of free-choice time at learning centers and structured group activities.

Curriculum

Daily "Wee Wisdom" time including Bible memory verses, prayer and praise music and the Pledge of Allegiance. Each class has a special stuffed animal (named "Precious", "Faithful", Thankful", and Patience") that spends the weekend with each child on a rotating basis. A journal is available to record the weekend's activities and encourage printing.

We believe the Bible, the 66 books of the Old & New Testament, to be the inspired Word of God, infallible, inerrant, the supreme and final authority for all faith and life. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God created the world by His spoken Word and He created man in His image.
