Managed Medical Transport

MMT is a privately owned corporation based just east of Atlanta in Athens, GA, with a west coast base in Phoenix, AZ. Our vehicles service the entire United States, providing long distance non-emergency transportation from Maine to California, and everywhere in between. In 1997, we shattered the paradigm by becoming the first dedicated non-emergency service to insist on using EMTs and Paramedics to transport patients.

MMT provides non-emergency stretcher transportation to and from medical facilities, private residences, nursing homes and retirement centers. Although we are not an ambulance service, we do place medically trained personnel on board all of our vehicles. The vehicles themselves are not equipped for emergency intervention, the emphasis, rather, is placed on patient comfort and safe transport.

One of the benefits of being in business for so many years is that we have had the opportunity to purchase many different types of vehicles and assess the safety and comfort of each one. Unequivocally, the current Ford Extended Transit Vans have won time and time again in smoothness of the ride.

Obviously the various road conditions throughout the country effect the ride, but we have made every improvement possible to insulate the patient from those conditions.There is room for extra bags and belongings as well. Our vans are designed, built and continuously modified exclusively for us, based on feedback from the patients whom we have transported over the years.

EVENT is a branch of Managed Medical Transport, Inc that provides medical staffing for events around NE Georgia and surrounding areas. This is a separate service from our patient transportation division that services patients throughout the United States and Canada. EVENT is a professional medical service that provides highly trained and insured medical personnel for first aid and emergency intervention.
