Established in 1976, Gig Harbor Academy is the oldest private school in Gig Harbor. Originally founded as a one-room schoolhouse amidst 10 acres of natural surroundings, children from two through fifth grade continue to educate in an environment that encourages them to think freely for themselves and develop a love for learning.
Gig Harbor Academy continues to follow its guiding principles by providing experiential, inquiry-based learning. When students have questions they are encouraged and supported and given the tools to find the answers as they learn through joyful discovery. Gig Harbor Academy expands the walls of its classroom by taking advantage of its sprawling campus.
