We are a family-run Optometric office owned by Dr. David and Dr. Susan Csonka, husband and wife, along with daughter, Dr. Elaine Miller. Dr. David started practicing in his Northway Mall office in 1982 and Dr. Susan joined the practice in the early 90's. In May of 2010, we moved the practice into our newly constructed private office building on Babcock Blvd across from Northway Mall.

Csonka Optometric has been successful because we specialize in taking genuine care and concern for every patient and continually keep the practice updated by purchasing the latest in diagnostic instrumentation. This allows us to be able to provide cataract evaluations, diagnosis and manage glaucoma, and determine if macular degeneration is present and if necessary determine which treatment option would be most beneficial.

In addition to the training they receive from the doctors, the staff of eight continually receives the latest information on lens design from the leaders in the optical industry, enabling them to make informed recommendations regarding your eyewear needs.
Our Mission Work

Since 2006, Dr. David, Dr. Susan, and Dr. Elaine have all taken part in a medical mission to provide eye care and eyeglasses to the residents in and around the village of Villa de San Francisco, a small Honduran town of about 10,000 people located 90 minutes from the capital, Tegucigalpa. The mission is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown and is funded 100% by donations from concerned individuals.
