Kitsap Martial Arts dojo is located in Poulsbo, WA and offers martial arts and self defense classes for adults and children ages 5+. Our core martial arts program is based on the Bujinkan Tenchijin dojo curriculum. Within the Tenchijin curriculum we practice striking, joint manipulation, throwing and classical Japanese weaponry as well as breathwork, meditation, mobility, flexibility, and nutrition.
The Bujinkan () is an international martial arts organization based in Japan and previously headed by Masaaki Hatsumi. The combat system taught by this organization comprises nine separate ryha, or schools, which are collectively referred to as Bujinkan Bud Taijutsu. I'm Brian Church, the owner and primary instructor for kids and adult classes at Kitsap Martial Arts.

Adult Martial Arts
Report
Adult classes (open to ages 16 and older) focus on a combination of striking, throwing, joint manipulation and weapons practice. Classes generally begin with a bow-in procedure followed by warm-up and mobility drills. Depending on the length of class we will review and drill several techniques or principles before our cool-down and bow-out procedure begins.
Children’s Martial Arts
Report
Students participating in our Ninja Kids program will develop greater awareness, balance and control through the games we play and drills we practice in class. In addition to the physical movements we practice, children are also encouraged to implement the Ninja Kids class rules outside of class to become better humans.
