Before taking up the mantle of Chinese medicine he was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, where upon graduation, he spent fifteen years as a professional chef in New York City, Baltimore, and Orlando.His culinary experience has allowed him to have a unique perspective in food as it correlates to Chinese medicine.

The patient-practitioner relationship has always been a respected one for many generations, one of gratitude and respect. In the modern day, other factors get in the way like money. So we will be implementing a different way to deliver the fees for services rendered. All stated fees will be considered customary suggested fees.

Reiki is divine universal energy that flows through all living things. A Reiki practitioner acts as the conduit for the universal life force energy to flow through to the patient. The patient will then experience healing on an energetic, physical, mental, and/or emotional level, balancing, grounding, and pain relief/release.

In early 2013, I had a herniated disc in my lower back. I started with western medicine - steroid shot and physical therapy for a few weeks - but the pain came back. My husband suffered from chronic back pains. Dr. Kim sat down with him and explain him how acupuncture will be beneficial and the modalities that he would use. My husband was impressed with Dr. Kim’s knowledge not only for Western but Eastern medicine as well. My husband saw tremendous improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim very generously spent a long time with me, being very careful to elucidate his assessment of my injury, his thoughts on the underlying issues underneath the surface, and a realistic timetable and practical treatment steps. I was about 4 months into an episode of frozen shoulder, which can take 4-6 months to onset, then 6 months to 2 years to heal. I was lucky enough to contact Dr. Howard Kim who told me that he had successfully treated frozen shoulder and could usually take care of it in 6 to 11 treatments. I was initially stunned and skeptical, because of all the other research I had done indicating that few, if any, treatments were helpful, and some were actually harmful. But acupuncture had helped me in the past, so I decided to give him a try.
