At Baitner Pediatric Dentistry we know that when it comes to your children, their health is a top priority. That's why we recommend that your child start seeing a dentist as young as 1, or when his or her first tooth starts coming in. It is also important that they get used to regular dental visits and adopt a good oral hygiene at a young age.

Our office schedules appointments to fit your schedule as best we can. For the best possible appointment, we recommend that young children and those with longer appointments are scheduled in the morning. This is because they are fresher during this time of day for us to comfortably work with them. During your little one's first appointment, we invite you to stay with them.

Some children are given nitrous oxide/oxygen, or what you may know as laughing gas, to relax them for their dental treatment. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is a blend of two gases, oxygen and nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child's nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep.
