In Barbados its a tradition to pierce a baby girls ears and put a bangle on her wrist. Usually the gold metal used to make the bangle is recycled from jewelry passed down from the grandparents and family members melted together and drawn out into new gold jewelry that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Island Girl Jewelry began back in 2008 when my husband and business partner Ricardo and I started working in his family's jewelry business in Bridgetown, Barbados. On my small work bench in our little shop we combined my designs and love of jewelry with his metal smithing skills.

All of our jewelry is handmade to order in our Vermont workshop located at 7 Main Steet Bristol. Our shipping time may vary depending on the size of order. If you are ordering one single item please allow for 2-3 business days before it is ready to ship. If you have chosen to 'pick up' you will be contacted as soon as the item is ready.
