After having been in the industry for 15 years, we discovered that there was a better way to do furniture consignment. Curate Consignments, as you see her today, is an upscale furniture and accessory store chock-full of wonderful things that have been collected and loved by our consignees over the years.
For one reason or another, the owners of these treasures have dropped them off at this outfittings orphanage, and each one is waiting to be adopted and taken home.
Our store really began in the 1950's in Denver when my great-grandmother Pearl taught my mother to sew kitchen curtains out of dish towels, wallpaper a bathroom with pretty pages from Better Homes & Gardens and the Ladies' Home Journal, and sew pillows and chair covers with second-hand clothing purchased at the Goodwill in downtown Denver.
