Services
Vision Therapy
Our vision therapy program addresses binocular vision disorders and visual processing delays through customized exercises. This non-invasive treatment improves eye coordination, focusing ability, and visual information processing skills. Patients benefit from individualized sessions supervised directly by our experienced optometrist, with treatment plans tailored to address specific visual challenges affecting learning, work, or daily activities.
Neuro-Optometric Evaluations
Specialized neuro-optometric assessments identify visual disturbances resulting from brain injuries or neurological conditions. Our comprehensive evaluations use advanced diagnostic techniques to detect visual processing issues that may impact balance, reading ability, or spatial awareness. This diagnostic process forms the foundation for personalized rehabilitation programs addressing visual consequences of traumatic brain injuries or neurological disorders.
Convergence Insufficiency Treatment
Targeted treatment for convergence insufficiency addresses difficulty maintaining proper eye alignment during near tasks. Our evidence-based approach combines in-office therapy with home exercises to strengthen eye coordination. This specialized treatment alleviates symptoms like eye strain, double vision, and reading difficulties, improving comfort and efficiency for both children and adults experiencing these visual challenges.
Sensory Learning Program
The Sensory Learning Program integrates visual, auditory, and vestibular stimulation to enhance sensory processing abilities. This unique multi-sensory approach addresses developmental delays and learning-related visual problems through simultaneous sensory input. The program benefits individuals with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, or sensory processing disorders by improving neural connections between different sensory systems.
Optometric Syntonic Photo Therapy
Optometric syntonic photo therapy uses specific light wavelengths to improve visual efficiency and overall well-being. This treatment addresses visual stress and enhances peripheral vision awareness through controlled light exposure. The therapy supports neurological rehabilitation and can benefit patients with visual field defects, attention difficulties, or stress-related visual disturbances, complementing other vision therapy interventions.

Dr. VanHoy is absolutely amazing! My daughter suffered with an undiagnosed vision problem for four years. We saw numerous specialists but received the same answers, essentially we have no idea what is wrong, youve stumped us, hopefully she will just grow out of it, come back next year for another exam. Needless to say this left us frustrated and feeling helpless as her vision problem made schoolwork harder and harder. My own ophthalmologist suggested I take my daughter to Dr. VanHoy, a behavioral ophthalmologist. Who even knew that was a thing?! I was encouraged right away by Dr. VanHoys

If you have a child with special needs you must go visit Dr. Van Hoy! She performs the most complete eye exam I have ever witnessed! My youngest daughter, now 25, went to Dr. Van Hoy when she was not quite 2. My first thought when someone told me I should take her to have her eyes examined was How is that possible with a baby who wasn't talking! Silly me! It was amazing. Dr. Van Hoy will work tirelessly to make sure she has every calculation correct - no matter how long it takes.

Dr. VanHoy is an amazing individual and eye doctor. My daughter (and I) were born with amblyopia and esotropia...Dr. VanHoy used her amazing skills in vision therapy to train my daughters brain to reconnect with her eyes. Her eyes never crossed, no surgery needed and she has vision in both eyes. I still go to Dr. VanHoy when I need help...I wasnt so lucky and struggle to get contacts fitted correctly. If your children have vision issues, trust Dr. VanHoy to help you! She actively listens and is amazing with children.

Our daughter has benefited greatly from vision therapy and the sensory learning program at Eyes for Wellness. The results have been nothing short of amazing! Dr. VanHoy and staff are meticulous with their approach to each patient and their needs. The treatment has helped in so many ways - my daughter is processing information more efficiently through her vision and hearing, making her ability to learn much more fluid. We have been thrilled with the results and this has been a "game changer" for our daughter and her future! I highly recommend this practice!
