We are a family run venue housed on a centennial farm in Hudsonville, Michigan. We work together to manage events and make sure every detail is taken care of, while doing our best to offer hospitality and professionalism. We sometimes say we are 'accidental wedding planners', but love every minute of it!
Matt and Ashley spent a lot of time viewing different venues for their big day, but nothing seemed 'just right.' Jokingly one day, they discussed a wedding in the barn on the farm. This barn had always been referred to as "The Tool Shed." It was a large barn that had served many purposes in its 30+ years of existence.

Bar Basics

No need for coolers or extra ice-the kegerator is refrigerated and we also have back up refrigerator storage for an additional 2 kegs, which means we can keep up to 5 kegs cold and ready to serve. White wine is typically more popular than red. For your mix of wines, we recommend that you go heavier on the white wine, with a little less red.
House Rules
Report
All reception alcohol must be served from behind the bar by our bartenders. If your guests bring their own alcohol, we ask that they place it behind the bar and allow our fabulous bartenders to serve them. If alcohol is to be served, we require a special event liability policy. A $1M liability policy should be taken out for 2 days-the day of your event and the following day to ensure that any potential after midnight occurrences are covered.
How Much Do I Buy

We've gathered tidbits from our experience with celebrations at The Red Shed and combined that with the "wisdom" of the online guru's. You know your crowd best- please adjust as needed for the personality of your guests - beer lovers, wine lovers, light drinkers, heavy drinkers, etc. For example, if you have a full bar (beer, wine and mixed drinks), the mixed drinks typically go first.
