The St. Charles Animal Hospital is fully accredited by the AAHA (The American Animal Hospital Association). The AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals in the U.S. At present, only 11% of the animal hospitals in the US are accredited. AAHA-accredited hospitals adhere to the highest-quality standards available, which helps ensure the best care for your pet.

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. As our pets get into middle age, we then recommend physical examinations twice a year. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help prevent or alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Professional Staff

As a young child I found a stray dog while playing outside and immediately fell in love with her! I brought her home and much to my surprise, my parents let me keep her. I must have been about seven years old at the time. Soon thereafter, Taffy decided to eat a sponge and developed a complete obstruction - vomiting was all that she could do.

Anesthesia & Monitoring
Report
One of the things that many clients fear the most is anesthesia. This need not be the case! As a veterinarian, I have been using various anesthetics for over 47 years. Over the years I have seen the development of many new drugs and the drugs that we are currently using are so safe that we do not hesitate to anesthetize any pet that needs to have a procedure done.
